      UNIPORT 2nd Batch Admission List 2017/2018 Released




University Of Port-harcourt (UNIPORT) Management has released the 2nd batch admission list for 2017/2018 academic session.

The list of admitted candidates have been made available on the school's portal.

To access the list, candidates are to simply click on this link: http://www.uniport.edu.ng/news/latestnews/1067-2017-2018-admission-batch-2.html

NOTE: 
Pre-degree and UTME Candidates seeking admission in the 2017/2018 academic session should login to the JAMB website and click on CAPS to check their admission status, and click on accept/reject button to either accept or reject the offer.

Candidates whose admission status show "not admitted" should keep checking the JAMB website for further updates.

Candidates should please note that the Admission List will be published in batches on the University's website as they are processed. Candidates are therefore advised to keep on checking the university's website for the Admission List.

Those offered provisional Admission should proceed with the Acceptance and Registration processes. The procedure is on the University website.

JAMB Suspends Sales Of 2018 UTME Registration Forms The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has disclosed that it has suspended the sales of the 2018 JAMB application forms which was to begin on Wednesday November 22nd, 2017. This was made known by JAMB's spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin. According to him, the postponement was necessitated by the delay in meeting the agreed deadline by the publisher of the compulsory reading text meant for prospective candidates for the 2018 UTME which was supposed to be delivered on or before November 7th, 2017. “As at close of work today, the publisher had not provided the 1.8 million copies required and this development painfully forced to the Board to shift the date from Wednesday 22nd November, 2017 to a date to be announced soon. ”JAMB said it regrets all inconvenience occasioned by this postponement as it is working round the clock to announce a new date soon”, the statement said. ASUP Indefinite Strike May Be Called Off Next Week

There are indications that the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, may call off its 10-day old strike next week. The Union has been able to meet with the Minister of Education and from what transpired in the meeting, it was a fruitful discussion. At the moment , process is ongoing for the Memorandum of Understanding to be signed. The union leader will be meeting next week to deliberate on the negotiations with the Federal Government so far and hopefully bring the strike to an end. Recall that ASUP commenced nationwide indefinite strike on November 13 due to the federal government’s failure to fulfill the outstanding agreement made with it.
